Loose-fill Asbestos Insulation
Fair Trading and the NSW Government are encouraging homeowners to have their properties that were built before the 1980's to be tested for loose-fill asbestos. Loose fill asbestos is raw crushed asbestos that was used as insulation and installed in NSW properties around the 1960s and 70s.
Builders and tradespeople may be exposing themselves and others to harmful airborne asbestos particles, when demolishing and or working on construction sites. Exposure to asbestos can lead to serious health implications if not decontaminated and destroyed correct.
